A very quick post

I'm sorry but this has to be quick because I'm melting from the heat sitting at this computer and my resident G&T cocktail waiter is at his German lesson. Our flat is in the roof of the building and the sun seems to heat it up like an oven.

Anyway, what I had to post about was this! A lace club at Posh Yarn - and you get a free pattern with the lace every quarter. How brilliant is that? I have joined already. I now know why veteran knitters have such large stashes. Mine just keeps growing and growing and yet I can't stop buying more yarn. (I will now quietly point out the recent purchase of posh yarn in the photo above - laceweight cashmere in memories (partly won!) and cobweb weight cashmere/merino in robin's egg...I'm so ashamed of myself)

That's a lovely, atmospheric photo....

I have been very good lately and bought very little, although I broke my fast yesterday!

I don't know how anyone has the patience to knit lace but it looks lovely.

It is a lovely photo, I agree with Alice. No shame thank you, we don't believe in it. Not where knitting's concerned anyway :)

I won't be tempted by the lace as it is beyond my capabilities right now, but you enjoy it :)

Thanks for the comment on my blog! It's a combination of speed, small projects and obsession, really.
I seriously love the baby socks. I have been knitting in my lunch hours and
at my desk on them as I'm leaving soon and figure they can't get too upset
about it. I have so much I want to get done before I leave that I actually
feel a bit weighed down by everything so the kiddies' projects are good because I feel like I'm getting somewhere.

It's no good, I'm going to have to join the lace club. No matter that I am going to have to do some creative storage for the latest acquisitions from this past weeks :-)

Love the colours you chose for the laceweight, and what a great photo.

Hope your G&T waiter is back at his duties now LOL :-)
